The actor shared this in a recent episode of the MENtality podcast. Egbuson said as a perfume collector, he had built up a collection of about 150 bottles. Looking back, he said that money would have served him better if he had put it into land instead.

He explained that he is not saying it is wrong to own a good car or a nice watch, but people should ask themselves if they are getting these things for themselves or just because of pressure from those around them. He said the real test is whether a person would still be happy without those items.

The actor also spoke about facing broke periods in his life. He said that no matter what he has, his energy stays the same because he has learned to find happiness with whatever he has. He added that he always tries to remind his fans that life comes with both good and bad days, and that a person who cannot deal with the bad days, step out, or create content is simply living a lie. He wondered how long anyone could keep living that kind of life.

Egbuson admitted that he used to live a fake life and borrow money just to impress people, but said that is no longer the case for him.
