Singer Teni Shares How She Learned Yoruba Through YouTube

Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has revealed how she learned Yoruba through YouTube.

She disclosed this in a recent interview while appearing as a guest on Zero Conditions podcast.

Despite her Yoruba heritage, the 31-year-old artist unveiled that she acquired proficiency in the language through unconventional means such as YouTube while residing in America.

She said, “Do you know how I learnt to speak Yoruba? It was when I went to America. I learnt it from YouTube. I was watching Yoruba films like mad.”
