Celebrity fashion designer and founder of Veekee James Companies, Victoria James, has been named among a new batch of young talents in the Forbes 30 Under 30 List.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 List, is an annual list, highlighting and recognizing some of the most successful millennials and Genz trailblazers across a wide range of industries from Fashion to music, media, and art and style.
The 28-year-old, a well-known fashion industry expert, took to her Instagram on Monday evening to announce her latest achievement. Veekee James whose real name is Ruth Erikan James was spotlighted in Forbes’ fashion category, thanks to her fashion industry company, Veekee James Companies.
Veekee James wrote, ” Congratulations can officially start rolling in. From Ajekunle to Forbes is not just a film. Evidence dey. I return all the glory to the almighty God.”

Veekee James disclosed to the esteemed publication Forbes that her mother, a tailor, served as her inspiration for entering the fashion industry. She continued by saying that she entered the fashion industry believing that designing clothes is a low-paying profession because her mother charges peanuts for her own time. According to her statement to Forbes, her love for fashion allowed her goal to come true, and today she’s very successful, and making a lot of money.
“My mom is a tailor. I grew up thinking this is a poor man’s job, because of how much she used to charge, like peanuts…”, Veekee told Forbes Magazine.
