Their story, from the initial spark of their meeting to the unbreakable relationship they currently share, is proof of the strength of genuine love. Starring Okawa Shaznay as Tarella, Timini Egbuson as Prince Nosa, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chioma Idigo, and many more, the film was directed by Lolo Eremie and Kayode Kasum. On 7th February 2025, it will be released in cinemas nationwide.
Summer Rain (2025) — February 7
In Summer Rain, two closest friends gradually come to understand that their friendship has evolved into something more. The plot revolves around friendship, love, and the fear of losing everything. Misunderstandings and emotional strain start to accumulate as they try to manage their emotions without destroying their friendship, which puts them at a crossroads where they must choose what is really important. The film, which was directed by Adenike Adebayo-Esho, stars Tina Mba, Daniel Etim Effiong, Genoveva Umeh, and Kayode Ojuolape. Kabiyesi (2025) — February 14
Kabiyesi, Showmax’s original epic drama series, centers on Princess Aderiyife, whose rise to prominence is thwarted by political unrest and treachery. Inspired by the reign of Orompoto, Oyo’s sole female Alaafin, she must defend her realm and challenge the norms of leadership. Kabiyesi, which stars Amokun Ibrahim, Akin Lewis, and Annetta Adebusuyi, will have ten episodes, with a new episode every Friday. On 14th February 2025, Kabiyesi will make its Showmax debut.
Blackout (2025) — February 21

Ada Omo Daddy (2023) – February 21
The 2023 Nigerian comedy drama Ada Omo Daddy was co-produced by Mercy Aigbe, co-directed by Adebayo Tijani and Akay Mason, and written by Yakubu Olawale. The film primarily centers on a paternity lie that is exposed during a wedding celebration known as the “Owambe” in Yoruba. It will be available on Netflix and Circuits from 21st February 2025.
The Presidency (2025) — February 21
The Presidency delves into the demanding realm of political aspirations, power battles, and loyalty. At its core is Mallum Arik’s character, Durodola Jaiyeola, a Nigerian who was raised overseas and returns home to a tense country. Ireti Jaiyeola, his mother, is a strong UPM party leader who is engaged in conflict with Progress Circle, a new group that poses a danger to the status quo. Durodola is pulled into a world of deceit, ambition, and patriotism as he negotiates political pressures and family legacies.
