Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has added another feather to her cap, graduating with a Master of Science in Public Health from a prestigious UK university.
The multifaceted entertainer, known for her roles in hit films and series, announced the milestone in an Instagram post that quickly went viral among fans.
In her cheeky caption, Osunde wrote, “tay warm guys, I hear it’s 3 degrees outside 🥶,” before revealing the achievement: “A master of science in public health. My 3rd degree. Forever doing side quests.” She went on to explain her drive for balancing dual careers in entertainment and healthcare, stating, “Why do I chase academic qualifications and a career in health care even with my existing career in entertainment? My simple answer is why not?”
Osunde, who previously combined studies at the College of Medicine, Idi Araba, with a rising acting career and later worked full-time at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) while maintaining her on-screen presence, emphasized her philosophy of embracing “the best of both worlds.” “Why have one when I CAN have two? I want it all,” she declared.
The actress teased future plans with a mysterious “What’s next? That’s for me to do and for you to stick around and find out. 😁” She humorously added another motivation: “just cause I want to tell my kids mummy has two heads. 😂😂🤣🤣😂”. Expressing immense pride, Osunde shouted out her friends, family, and the team that prepared her for graduation. “VERY proud of myself,” she wrote.
