Beauty queen turned Nollywood actress Tenia Abraham Omenogor passed away at 32 years old due to a kidney infection.
According to an obituary posted on her Instagram page, the actress was laid to rest on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Gudu Cemetery, Abuja. Her family released her death notice on social media, and her family and supporters are heartbroken.
Abraham passed away on October 13, 2026, after struggling with the disease, the obituary reads. Her family described her as a talented actress, a loving daughter, sister, and friend.
“We are saddened to share the news of our dear Nollywood actress, a vibrant talent, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, who died peacefully in her sleep,” the family said in its announcement.
The family also lit candles in memory of the late actress, recalling her passion, talent, and how she touched people’s lives.
The obituary continued, “She lived with passion, touched many lives with her talent and left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.”
The family added that her talent, beauty and kindness would forever be in the hearts of those who knew her.
Tenia Abraham’s burial in Abuja
The funeral was held at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi, Abuja, where family members, friends and well-wishers converged before heading to Gudu Cemetery for burial.
The actress died on Saturday, October 17, two days after her family had made her death public.
Abraham’s death has also brought to the fore a social media post she had posted in August, reflecting on the uncertainty of life and the need to love each other.
