Actress Ekene Umenwa beams with joy as she welcomes her first child, a bouncing baby girl.
The 33-year-old Nollywood movie star took to her Instagram page where she shared the good news. She posted a video of herself dressed in the Virgin Mary’s likeness in her maternity shoot.
Sharing the video Ekene Umenwa wrote, “I am truly blessed by the Lord’s mercy. My pregnancy journey was a wonderful experience, and I give praise to the Blessed Trinity and honor to our Mother Mary, who stood by me throughout.
“In my humble attempt to honor her maternal care and intercession, I was inspired by a vision she gave me while praying at the grotto. It brings me immense joy to be able to dress as Mother Mary, whom I hold dear. Although I feel unworthy to stand in her presence, her mercy has touched me deeply.”
Last year, Ekene got married to her husband in a beautiful wedding well attended by her colleagues such as Destiny Etiko Eve Esin, and others as reported by Legit.ng.
