The faith-based film, Breath of Life has clinged the best movie category at the The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The Amazon Video original Breath of Life won the most awards this year with five, all of which were in major categories like Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Lead Actor, Best Director, and Best Movie. The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards were held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.

However, Funke Akindele’s movie, A Tribe Called Judah didn’t win an award this year. This has got Nigerian talking on social media as it was an unexpected twist that sparked conversations and highlighted the diverse talents in Nigerian cinema.
