For the first time in 2025, Netflix raised its subscription prices in Nigeria, making it their third hike since 2024.
The price of the Premium Plan has been increased from N7,000 to N8,500 which is a 21.43% rise.
The company’s website confirms that the Standard Plan (with HD and access to several screens) is now N6,500 which is a 18.18% rise from its original price of N5,500. The Basic Plan is now N4,000 which has gone up by 14.29% from the previous price of N3,500 and the most affordable tier—Mobile Plan—has risen 13.64% from N2,200 to N2,500.
Netflix said that they are raising prices as part of a worldwide plan to adjust their subscription fees. The statement said the company expects the move to increase both its revenue and earnings which will allow it to keep investing in creating new content.
