In this new month of April 2025, the standards has been raised with exceptional cinema blockbusters, thought-provoking drama, and streaming exclusives coming our way from world-class directors and filmmakers. This article, will show to you 9 Nollywood movies and series you won’t want to miss in the month of April.

OSORONGA (4th April 2025 )

Osoròngà tells the story about a character who is forced to flee, running with a broken ankle, because he fears the consequences of stopping, with no time to think or breathe.

Written and directed by Ibrahim Chatta, the movie featured actors like Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Bimbo Akintola, and Akin Olaiya among others. The movie was first realeased for cinemas nationwide in January 20th, 2023 and now Osoròngà will be available on Prime Video Naija, starting on April 4th, 2025.

RECALL (14th April 2025)

Produced and directed by Nollywood’s favorite, Kunle Afolayan, Recall is a supernatural psychological thriller that explores love, memory, and the mysteries that bind us. It portrayed the love story of Goke and Anita whose love journey takes an unexpected turn.

Olarotomi Fakunle, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Muyiwa Ademola, Sharon Ooja, and Iya Rainbow are one of the major casts in this amazing thriler. Recall is set to be available in Cinemas nationwide in  4th April 2025.

FAMILY BROUHAHA (11th April 2025)

In Family Brouhaha, deep-rooted family tensions ignite, unraveling long-held secrets and testing the bonds of love and loyalty. This captivating drama takes audiences on an emotional journey filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and surprising twists.

Featuring an all-star cast including Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Bimbo Akintola, and Faithia Williams, and directed by Femi Adebayo, Family Brouhaha is set to hit cinemas nationwide on April 11, 2025.

A Lagos Love Story (11th April 2025)

In the heart of Lagos, where music and romance collide, A Lagos Love Story unfolds. Afrobeats sensation KK finds himself in an unexpected love story when he falls for his assistant. As their connection deepens, they must navigate the highs and lows of fame, love, and self-discovery, with surprises and a touch of magic along the way.

Aso Ebi Diaries (18th April 2025)

Aso Ebi Diaries is a captivating Nollywood drama that takes viewers into the heart of Nigerian culture, where friendship, family, and societal expectations intertwine. Set against the backdrop of grand celebrations, the film blends love, laughter, and the complexities of tradition in a compelling and relatable story.

Owambe Theives (18th April 2025)

Adunni: Ogidan Obinrin (25th April 2025)

Landline (25th April 2025)

What if life after death wasn’t the end, but a new beginning? Landline is a mind-bending thriller that blurs the boundaries between reality and the afterlife, drawing viewers into a world where nothing is as it seems. With its gripping storyline and innovative storytelling, the film delivers a deeply immersive and thought-provoking experience.
