Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has a big reason to celebrate. Her new movie, Oversabi Aunty, is now the fourth highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time in West Africa.
The film came out in cinemas on December 19, 2025. In just 18 days, it made more than N711.5 million (about 711 million Nigerian naira) at the box office.
FilmOne Entertainment, the company that distributes the movie, shared the good news on social media. They said fans in West Africa showed up in a big way.
Toyin Abraham produced and directed the comedy film. She also stars in it as a kind but nosy church woman who tries to fix everyone’s problems. This leads to funny chaos.
The movie has many popular actors, including: Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Jemima Osunde.
Toyin thanked God and her fans on social media. She said their love and support made this possible.
This success pushes Oversabi Aunty past older hits like Funke Akindele’s Battle on Buka Street (over N660 million) and Omo Ghetto: The Saga (over N630 million).
It is another big win for Toyin Abraham, who has made many successful movies before.
