Actor Abiodun Adebanjo Honored For Contribution To Film Industry

Nigerian Nollywood actor, Abiodun Adebanjo has been honored by the Mayor of Brampton, Canada for his contribution to the film industry in Nigeria and globally.

The Yoruba movie star shared the good news to his social followers on Instagram, with a picture showing his certificate of recognition.

Sharing the photo, he expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him in his career. He also added that he is thrilled to see his work acknowledged and valued globally.

Abiodun who’s passionate about storytelling and cultural exchange, said he is proud to be part of a city that celebrates creativity and innovation.

He wrote, “Dear Mayor of Brampton, Canada

“I’m writing to express my sincere appreciation for recognizing the film industry’s contributions, both in Nigeria and Canada.”

His colleagues including Gabriel Afolayan, and Femi Adebayo reacted to the good news by penning a congratulatory message.

As an Nollywood actor, Abiodun Adebanjo has featured in a lot of Nigerian movies including  Lugard, Jankarinwo, and J.B.O: Jaguda Baba Ole.

This is coming a few months after he survived a car accident as reported by The Nation Newspaper. The publication reported that the actor claimed he had an accident at Maruwa Roundabout, Lekki, Lagos.
