Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has called out his colleague Funke Akindele, claiming their long-time friendship ended the moment he told her he had finished building his own house.

In a now-viral interview, Yomi described the Nigerian movie industry as “terrible,” saying a lot of people only pretend to be nice. He used Funke as an example, explaining that they used to be very close.

According to him, the day he happily told her, “I have completed my house,” was the last day she ever spoke to him.
“I didn’t offend her in any way,” he added.

The statement has sparked serious debate online, with fans taking sides. Some people supporting Funke say Yomi is just looking for attention, while others believe his story points to the deep envy that exists in the Nollywood industry.
So far, Funke Akindele — who remains Nigeria’s biggest box office queen — has not responded to the claims.
