Nollywood star Funke Akindele has announced the premiere of her latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, set to hit cinemas on December 13. The announcement was made via her official Instagram page after she shared a playful promotional video.
In the video, the cast of Everybody Loves Jenifa participates in a live Tug of War against “A Tribe Called Judah.” After a fun-filled competition, her latest project cast emerged victorious, with Akindele revealing the much-anticipated release date at the end.
Announcing the date, Funke Akindele wrote, “WOW! We’re overwhelmed with love! Thank you to our amazing fans for the incredible response to our “Everybody Loves Jenifa” announcement video! Your kind words and excitement mean the world to us.

The cast of Everybody Loves Jenifa includes Nancy Isimi, Stan Nze, Omowumi Dada, Falz, Jackie Appiah, and more notable A-list actors.
Funke Akindele is poised to break yet another record in the movie industry, as her films Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, and A Tribe Called Judah have collectively grossed over 2.7 billion naira approximately at the box office.
As of this report, Akindele holds the title of Nollywood’s highest-grossing director for 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023.
Other top-grossing directors include Adeoluwa Owu, Niyi Akinmolayan, Kayode Kasum, and Adebayo Tijani.
