Media personality and entrepreneur, Toke Makinwa recently shared a deeply emotional message on social media, reflecting on the profound impact her daughter has had on her life. In a heartfelt post, Makinwa revealed how her daughter has become a source of healing, helping her address long-buried childhood trauma.

“My daughter brought me healing,” Makinwa wrote. “She is daily healing parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing, healing from my childhood trauma, from grief I thought I had dealt with a long time ago. God knew I needed this.”

NOLLYWOOD LIFE recalls that the former OAP welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Yakira Eliana, at the age of 40, after so many years of unsuccessful attempts to have her baby.

Toke Makinwa, in an exclusive interview with Glamour South Africa, expressed disbelief and gratitude about her journey to motherhood, stating it feels “so real” and perfectly timed.

She noted that her long-held desire to become a mother, which she had openly discussed, was delayed until certain aspects of her life aligned. Makinwa described motherhood as the “biggest project” of her life, unfolding at the right moment, and admitted to feeling a mix of emotions including joy, excitement, nervousness, and anxiety.
