Don Jazzy, a singer from Nigeria, has expressed his regret once more for getting into a fight with Olamide, during the 2015 Headies Awards.
2015 saw Olamide YBNL confront the award’s organizers because they disqualified his act, Lil Kesh, from the Next Rated Artiste Award category for Mavin artist, Reekado Banks, according to the Daily Post.
Lil Kesh then bowed in front of Olamide, who then stepped up to the microphone and declared, “This honor belongs to Lil Kesh. Our own Next Rated artist is Lil Kesh.
But this sparked a significant altercation between Don Jazzy and Olamide. According to an exclusive report from Laila’s blog, now known as Laila’s News, Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, was the driving force behind the reunification of Don Jazzy and Olamide.
Don Jazzy decided to talk about his fight with Olamide in his most recent update. He confessed to having a confrontation with the YBNL boss to Doyinsola David of the Doyins Corner show.
Don Jazzy remarked during the podcast’s interactive segment titled “Are celebrities required to be role models?”
Don Jazzy said, “There was a Headies incident, that one was also out of character, I regretted that instantly as soon as I came down from the stage and I apologized to both Olamide and the event people, the Headies Organizers.” Watch the video below:
This is not the first time Don Jazzy declared publicly that he regretted having an altercation with his colleague, Olamide. In a interview with Ebuka on black box in 2021, he admitted he regretted the exchange of words with the YBNL boss.
