Nigerian actor, Emeka Ike has revealed how his ex-wife made him lose his properties and access to his kids after she accused him of assaulting her.
He made this known to the public while appearing as a guest in the TV show titled ‘Rubbin’ Minds, hosted by media personality, Hero Daniels.
Remember that Emeka Ike wed his ex-wife on July 13, 2015, and that their marriage, which resulted in them sharing four children, crumbled and was dissolved by a Lagos Island Customary Court due to allegations of continuous abuse.
He claimed that while dealing with marital problems with his ex-wife, he went through despair and felt compelled to conceal because of his embarrassment over his actions.
When questioned about why he hasn’t been in a Nigerian film since three years ago, he said that the move from VHS to larger screens had an impact on the need for his skills because he and his other colleagues—whom we no longer see or hear from—were left behind.
He continued by saying that assassins and hitmen were pursuing him while he was gone. They had no other intention than to kill him.
The interviewer, Hero Daniels, continued by inquiring as to how he managed to get over everything he had experienced and get back up on his feet. He remarked
“You ask yourself, ‘What do I do next?'” when you discover that they are genuinely pursuing you for who you are. I just continued to carry out the necessary tasks. To become who I am now, I continued to work on myself.
Emeka Ike has returned to the Nollywood scene as a character in Toyin Abraham’s next film, “Malaika.”
