Nollywood actress Regina Daniels says she is ready to return to her marriage with Ned Nwoko if it will secure the immediate release of her elder brother, Sammy West, from police detention and halt the threatened arrest of her mother, Rita Daniels.
In a series of heartbreaking Instagram posts on Thursday night, the 25-year-old mother of two poured out her anguish, revealing that her brother has been incarcerated for weeks simply because he defended her against alleged constant physical abuse by her in-laws.
“I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up?” she wrote. “I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all!!! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins. Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way, do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and r3ped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammywest! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria that’s what this means. We lost or rather I lost!”
In a follow-up post, Regina explicitly stated: “I give up! I lost! I’ll return if that’s the only way.”
Ned Nwoko Issues Arrest Warrant For Regina Daniels’ Mother Rita
Drama escalates as Regina shares screenshot of chat with mum Rita: “Ned has issued an arrest warrant against me” and “I should be arrested on or before Monday”.

The dramatic capitulation comes after weeks of public silence from the actress, who had reportedly moved out of the Nwoko mansion, to her new mansion in Lagos, amid claims of domestic turmoil. Sources close to the family say Sammy West was arrested on the orders of Ned Nwoko after he allegedly confronted family members over repeated assaults on his younger sister.
Regina’s posts have sparked nationwide outrage, with thousands of fans and celebrities flooding her comment section with messages of support, while human-rights activists have called for an independent investigation into the case and the role of the police. As at press time, neither Ned Nwoko nor the Nigeria Police Force has issued any official statement on the allegations.
