The musician disclosed this during a conversation with Randall Lane, chief content officer (CCO) of Forbes, during the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Botswana.
Randall requested Davido to speak at the occasion regarding his comeback as a performer.
He said, “Performance-wise, I’m still Davido, he retorted. If you observe our current production method. Being more mature, in my opinion, comes from having had time to reflect and realize that God gave you these talents and that you don’t want to miss the chance that, in my opinion, our God has provided for us.”
Speaking on Afrobeats’ growth he said, “Afrobeats now is at a world-class stage, it is not the same as 2 years ago, you can’t just look it that way. Before when we do concerts, we just put on the speakers, and get the mic but now we have from the creative director to sound managers, like the production unit, we are spending so much money not just to make it look good but make like other genres in international categories.”
