Following the demise of beloved actor, Junior Pope, The Actors Guild of Nigeria has suspended all movies involving riverine area and boat riding.

AGN bans actors acting in movies involving riverine area

This was made known to the public in a memo dated 11th April 2024 issued by the National president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Dr Ejezie Emeka Rollas.

In the public statement, AGN placed a ban on actors from acting in any movie produced by Adanma Luke. Adanma Luke is the producer of the movie that Junior Pope was featuring in before his untimely death on Wednesday, April 10th. The boating accident also claimed the lives of other four crew members.

The memo reads below, “Following the tragic incident of boat mishap that claimed the life of Mr John Paul Odonwodo aka Junior Pope and four other crew members at waterside of River Niger cable point Asaba on the 10th of April 2024 on a movie set titled “The other side of Life” produced by Adanma Luke.”

AGN listed four executive orders which are actors are barred from acting in movies involving riverine area, no shoot on all locations nationwide on Thursday, 11th April, 2024, the movie titled ‘Another side of Life’ is suspended indefinitely. In addition, no actor is allowed to feature in all movies to be produced by Adanma Luke till further notice.
