Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor has given reasons why she decided to throw her son out of her home in the past. She feels that this will make her children know what it means to face hardship and hard work.
In an interview with media personality, Femi Baba, she stated that it is totally wrong for parents to completely protect their children from hardship and hard work.
It is according to her the quickest way to destroy the life of a child to keep them from experiencing hardship or hard work.
In her interview with the media personality, she recollected how she threw her son out of her home so that he could earn money for himself.
In her words, “The fastest way to ruin a child’s life is to say you don’t want them to suffer the way you did.
When you’re gone, they may start fighting over your property. I told my son, ‘My house isn’t yours. Go and work for your own.”
Patience Ozokwor said because of disciplining and hard work that she brought up her children, they are faring well in life.
She advised all parents not to deprive their children of hardship and hard work because of their affection for them.
