What makes it special is that the four lead actresses are also the producers, which means this story of friendship was made by real friends behind the camera too. It became one of the highest-grossing Nollywood films of its release month, so clearly people are here for it.

Uzoamaka Power wrote the screenplay herself and also plays the lead role, and she has spoken about how personal the story is to her. It has warmth, humour, and a very relatable “healing from heartbreak” arc that a lot of women will see themselves in. It even has live musical performances woven into the film from Johnny Drille and Cobhams Asuquo, which adds a soft, romantic touch.
When Tari Met Voke

Viewers praised the cinematography and the costumes, and the soundtrack has original music performed by lead actor Mike Afolarin himself.
Reel Love

It follows a divorced billionaire couple, Eyimofe and Isioma, who are forced to reunite when their daughter plans a wedding as a secret way to bring her parents back together.
What makes this one fit our Girlfriend’s Day theme is the sisterhood energy around Isioma, played by veterans Uche Jombo and Ebele Okaro as her loyal, chaotic, and very funny wingwomen. It is a movie about second chances at love, but also about the friends who show up for you through the mess.
Aso Ebi Diaries
