The streaming platform, Showmax has unveiled a legal drama TV series, ‘AGU’ featuring Kanayo O Kanayo as the lead character.
Weekly episodes of the six-part limited series will debut on December 14. Law, familial rivalries, and a hint of the paranormal are the main themes of Agu.
The show revolves around the lives of three main characters: Pius (Nonso Odogwu), Victoria (Ruby Okezie), and Etim (Kanayo O. Kanayo), who become embroiled in a legal case involving the murder of Pius’s close friend Jonathan.
In Nigeria, Showmax’s December content slate includes Agu, which is directed by AMVCA winner Anis Halloway (Unmarried), as well as the second season of the popular telenovela Wura and an upcoming original feature film called School Run.
Ireti Doyle, Vine Olugu, Miracle Op, the former Big Brother Titans housemate, Mofe Duncan, Tina Mba, Linda Ejiofor, and Ego Nwosu are all featured in the film.
