The official poster for the much-anticipated film Black Market has been released by Nollywood producer Nora Awolowo ahead of its premiere at Tafawa Balewa Square on September 26.
On Sunday, Awolowo posted the poster on her Instagram account and told fans that the teaser they had already seen was only a preview of what was to come. She called the new poster the full picture of the project.
The poster shows a cast of well-known actors in traditional clothing, with the two main characters—a man and a woman—placed in the middle against a dark background; it includes the slogan Black Market and states where and when the film will be shown.
Black Market is directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsay and has Nora Awolowo and Nicole Ofoegbu as producers. The project has already received a great deal of online attention since its teaser was first released, with fans looking forward to seeing the final product.
Awolowo said the September 26 screening at Tafawa Balewa Square is expected to draw around 50,000 people, making it one of the biggest Nollywood showings of the year. She urged fans who are yet to get their tickets to do so quickly by visiting https://blackmarketmovie.com/, or through the film’s ticketing partners, Swoop and Party Verse.
The post has already attracted responses from fans and fellow industry professionals, with a number of them showing their enthusiasm using the hashtag #watchblackmarket.
More details regarding the film’s plot and the full cast list are due to be made public near the time of the premiere.
