In December 2023, a documentary series titled “David” which is based on the true life story of Nigerian artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, will debut on Netflix.

The “Omo Baba olowo” singer recently disclosed in a recent interview with Esquire Middle East on the 9th of May, that he has his own Netflix docu-series about him and that this will be the first time he speaks about it in public.

The documentary series, which will be available exclusively on Netflix in December 2023, will tell us the true life story of the singer, Davido from his childhood to how he became one of the best Afrobeats singers.

“I have a movie coming out in December with Netflix,” Davido told Esquire Middle East. “It’s very, very big. This is the first time I’ve said anything about it. It’s a documentary–a docu-series about my life, called ‘David’. I shouldn’t be talking about this, but yeah.”

Additionally, Davido has been in the film industry in the Hollywood production “Coming 2 America” as a taxi driver. Also, in the Nollywood film industry, Premium Times stated that Davido was cast in the movie “Legend at 60” for his second Nollywood role.

The singer portrays a young pilot in the new movie about Idahosa Wells Okunbo, a pilot-turned-business magnate.
